Michele Avanti is a published certified planetary systems analyst, consulting metaphysician and ordained minister. Her new book, GreeHee The Journey of Five, a tale about soft-hearted dragon has won three awards for Best Juvenile Fiction & Visionary Fiction. Michele kindly agreed to write something about her book just for Fantasy Fan readers!

When I am asked to compare "GreeHee The Journey of Five - Tales of Tamoor Book One", to other fantasy books, I tell people; GreeHee falls somewhere between "The Wizard of Oz", "The Hobbit", and "Jonathan Livingston Seagull."
Despite the fact that it is written as a young adult fantasy for 10 years and up, it can be read on more than one level.

Children who do not read, love it because the pace is fast. The characters move from one experience to the next, each chapter ending in a cliff hanger. As one reviewer put it:

"The narrative is brisk and uncluttered driven almost exclusively by concise, well-realized dialogue as the characters interact, questioning events, and revealing their ideas, hopes and fears. The overall narrative structure is similar to a video game, moving from place to place, dilemma to dilemma, with a solution and a message at each turn. Thus the tale never flags or loses focus and pulls you in, and along, with it. Its a genuine page turner, you will have a hard time putting it down as it scurries along."

The cover entices children, and the style captures them right through to the end.

But adults find a lot more in my fantasy because it is much deeper than the action storyline. It is a metaphysical primer of sorts, much like Jonathan Livingston Seagull.

GreeHee is a dragon born as a result of a prophecy. He is born with a big heart and a deep thinking mind, unlike any other dragon in his world. He has an identity crisis. He wants to be loved by his father, and recognized for his prowess, but as fate would have it, this is not his nature.

In Book One, he must discover the importance, the power, and the great gift, of being himself.

That of course is the challenge we all face as humans. We must find ourselves, our root of power is within our true nature. When we honor this, we blossom, connect, and shine.

After publishing this book, I have received enormous honors through the comments, reviews and awards. I have been thrilled to receive two Visionary Fiction Awards, which mean the judges agreed that when the reader completes, "GreeHee The Journey of Five", they will come away with a new vision for their world.

I do hope to hear comments from readers here.

On the 4th of July, i will begin a celebration of the new release of GreeHee in Italy. My gift to the English speaking world will be a FREE Ebook of GreeHee or the Paperback on sale for $10 instead of the regular price of $14.99.
